Senior Accountant required for an iconic Australian brand Your new company A giant within retail, this Australian icon goes from strength to strength and is now increasing its presence internationally. Your new role A rare and exciting opportunity has opened up in their Head Office for a senior accountant. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Finance, you will manage the production of year-end general purpose financial statements, support tax effect work at group level, and produce month-end management accounts, including variances to budgets. Specific duties include: Statutory cashflow, segment reporting, and AASB15 / 16 disclosures Fixed assets maintenance, additions/disposals/depreciation Balance sheet reconciliations including variance and trend analysis Month-end and year-end close (general purpose financial statements for the Group) Tax effect work at group and sub-entity levels Business partnering with brands, variances to budget, and analysis of marketing spend Process improvement projects Support to external auditors What you''ll need to succeed Ideally a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a background in audit or tax Experience working in a complex, sizeable company, ideally within retail, hospitality, or similar sectors Strong understanding of accounting concepts Outstanding communication skills and confidence liaising with internal stakeholders Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using Excel Knowledge of large ERPs such as SAP or Oracle A proactive, inquisitive, and positive attitude What you''ll get in return Excellent work environment and a vibrant workplace culture Opportunity to work with industry-leading brands Career development opportunities Great location with parking in the SE Suburbs CPD support and regular salary/career reviews What you need to do now A rare opportunity in the marketclick ''apply now'' to submit your CV or contact Nick Wood at Hays Glen Waverley via email or phone (03) 8562 4204 for a confidential discussion.
