This is a two-year, fixed term contract (full-time) based in our East Perth office.As the Senior Business Affairs Manager, you will manage the full contracting lifecycle for projects that receive Screenwest grant funding and provide strategic advice to ensure effective risk and contract management policies, as well as legislative requirements, are adhered to.Reporting to the Head of Business Affairs, you will be part of a close-knit team, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders on a variety of contract projects. Our ideal candidate will be commercially astute, customer-focused, self-motivated, and have strong demonstrated experience in contracts management.The role will be responsible for:Drafting and negotiating multi-party agreements and related transaction documents for Screenwest production grants and other funding programs.End-to-end contract management for contracts overseen by Business Affairs, with a particular focus on funding programs that require multiple documents to be finalised as part of negotiations.Consistently implementing Screenwests existing contract management processes and procedures.Overseeing conditions of funding, helping to ensure Screenwest Terms of Trade and program guidelines are adhered to.Undertaking necessary checks to ensure all Screenwest compliance requirements and conditions of funding are reflected in its agreements.Coordinating, briefing, and overseeing use of external legal services when required.Assisting the Head of Business Affairs in providing legal support to the funding team and other internal stakeholders, as well as providing advice on legal aspects of commercial matters and assessing risks.Assisting in resolving business affairs matters and supporting in the management of contracting precedents and processes.Assisting the Head of Business Affairs with advising internal stakeholders on policy implications for new funding programs and services.Identifying and sharing with the Head of Business Affairs screen policy issues that may impact the business.Identifying opportunities for internal training and information sessions on legal developments relevant to Screenwest and the local industry and assisting in the research and roll out of such sessions.Building and managing strong relationships with industry and internal stakeholders.The right person will be able to demonstrate / have experience with:Bachelor of Law3+ years post admission experience across a broad range of commercial matters.Experience working in a legal / business affairs / contract management role with a demonstrated ability to draft and interpret commercial contracts and other legal documents with limited to no supervision.Experience within entertainment and media law is desired.Substantial business acumen and commercial judgement, demonstrating well developed negotiation and risk management skills.Exceptional communication skills with a strong customer focus and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Experience in effectively managing and accurately completing a high volume of projects.Ability to provide clear and effective advice to management within a tight timeframe.Self-motivated, with the ability to resume responsibility for duties and delivering outcomes within your remit.An exceptional collaborator and team player.Demonstrated ability to implement existing business operating processes and procedures.Understanding of the Australian Film & TV industry including financing and production practices is highly regarded.Whats in it for you:Work from home on WednesdaysSupportive team culture that values innovation and collaborationCentral CBD location, close to public transportContribute to the growth of a sustainable WA screen industryOther requirements:A current (within three months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required.Out of hours work may be required at times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
