$95,187 - $108,734 + up to 15.4% Superannuation (Includes scheduled March 2025 pay increase in accordance with the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement 2024)Waverton - NSWThe RoleThe APS 6 Data Analyst Assistant will be working alongside the EL 1 Scientist as part of the Mine Warfare & Clearance Diving Task Group (MCDTG) at HMAS Waterhen, in Waverton, Sydney.The role requires the planning and conduct of Post Mission Analysis with limited guidance and supervision. Using relevant software, you will develop the methodology for Mine Counter Measure Operations with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and assist in generating Tactical Development requirements within the Mine Warfare community.You will participate in joint planning groups to further develop the analysis and methodology to enable Data Analysis at the operational and tactical level.Additionally, the APS 6 Data Analyst Assistant position will assist in managing the Mine Command Support Database, drafting Data Analysis instructions and post mission reports, and supporting deployed teams of the MCDTG as required in Operations and Exercises.About our TeamThe Operations Analyst team consists of an EL 1 and APS 6 and works in tandem with the Mine Warfare & Clearance Diving Task Group and Mine Warfare Group within the Royal Australian Navy''s Mine, Diving and Geospatial Force.Through this, they engage with Maritime Geospatial agencies and databases to prepare pre and post mission analysis for operations and exercises within the Mine Warfare community.Our Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate should have a science-based degree to possess a grounded working knowledge of both data analysis and the maritime geospatial environment.
