We thrive on in-person connection to strengthen relationships, innovate, and solve challenges together.Job DescriptionAs a Claims Consultant, youll play a critical role in our Retail Life Claims team, guiding customers through life insurance claims with care, expertise, and efficiency.What will you doIndependently managing a portfolio of life insurance claims end-to-endAssess, analyse, calculate, and finalise claims paymentsEngage with external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants, as well as in-house medical and legal specialists to deliver timely outcomes for our customersProvide exceptional customer service in accordance with our philosophy, policies, and claims proceduresParticipate in case conferences, peer discussions, and instruct third-party service providersQualificationsDiverse backgrounds welcome Nursing and allied health (physiotherapy, chiropractic, remedial massage, sports injury, psychology), or finance, legal, or accounting experience to deal effectively with financial planners and self-employed individualsOr a background in Income Protection claims, TPD claims, Group LifeCustomer-focused mindset Strong communication, empathy, and decision-making skillsPassion for guiding recovery Experience in rehabilitation, return-to-work programs, or crisis managementHigh attention to detail Ability to navigate complex processes with precisionCurious and growth-focused A commitment to continuous learning and professional developmentAccountable, resilient, and solution-focused Always striving for the best outcomes for customers and partnersWere looking for talented individuals with relevant transferable skills and knowledge who want to join our mission of being by your side for life to positively impact Australians.Additional InformationTAL is one of Australias leading life insurers, committed to inclusion, diversity, and career growth.
