Job PurposeLocation: Henderson, Perth AustraliaAs a Specialist Technician-Gearbox/Winch Controls, you will complete service, repair, and assembly of all drives in our care, following work procedures and maintaining the highest level of workmanship as required by our customers. To always act in a professional manner and abide by the policies of Dana Incorporated.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesGearbox & Industrial winch inspection and reportingGearbox repair and servicing in the workshop and external to the facility as requiredTroubleshooting of gearbox & winch performance to recommend repair solutionsDiagnose & repair hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical system faultsMaintain tools and equipment as deemed necessaryTest and evaluation of winch applicationsAssist with Development of service tools and processesEnsure Quality and Safety is always a priorityEnsure accurate record keeping on job and time sheets is maintainedComply with all applicable procedures/work instructions when operating equipmentEnsure all accidents and hazards are reported and that PPE is always wornCarry out duties according to the Standards of Business Conduct and company policiesParticipate in training programs for personnel as requiredEnsure professionalism and dress standards are always maintainedUndertake other tasks as directed within the scope of the role, including some tasks outside of job scope as requiredKey Challenges:Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervisionAbility to read and understand instructions and general correspondence and apply the knowledge of a reasonable person to carry out those instructionsAbility to write simple correspondence in EnglishAbility to interpret German drawings and manuals to support parent company troubleshootingWorking with and developing workshop proceduresMaintenance of workshop equipmentHigh standards of workmanship including attention to detail and accuracyMechanical aptitudeA sense of urgency and willingness to work under pressure when requiredA high awareness and respect for other team membersAbility to perform the tasks without placing others and own safety and health at riskAbility to meet deadlinesEducation/Qualifications:Fitter Trade/mechatronics qualificationsDemonstrated mechanical aptitudeExperience:Understand and be knowledgeable in hydraulic/pneumatic & electrical controls.Experience in winch applications.General industrial gearbox assembly.We will be accepting applications for this position until May 10th. #J-18808-Ljbffr
