Senior Pastor Roma Church of ChristPermanent full-time or part time opportunityPLEASE SEE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW ON HOW TO APPLYOur Church & Our CommunityRoma Church of Christ is a small active congregation, located on the Warrego Highway approximately 500km west of Brisbane.We currently have a large participation of children in the church as well as a significant number of elderly members.Roma is a rural community of approximately 7000 residents servicing a large landscape.Farming is the main industry in Roma boasting the largest saleyards in the southern hemisphere. There is also a significant mining industry in the area and several government workers that contribute to the community.The Senior Pastor RoleWe are looking for a Senior Pastor who is confident in working with the Church Elders to provide strategic and spiritual leadership, oversight for the various ministries in the church, provide pastoral care for the congregation and other members of the community as appropriate, coordinate corporate worship services and lead the church into being more evangelistically active.Key Responsibilities:Ministry Team leadership and strategic planning, including leadership development.Oversight and continued development of the various ministries in the church.Providing pastoral care for members of the church.Coordinating the churches weekly worship services.Oversight of the teaching and preaching ministries of the church.Equipping members of the church to effectively share the gospel with those around them.About You:Well organised with excellent communication, relational and strategic planning skills.Deep and ongoing personal relationship with Christ and reliance on His Spirit.Identify with the vision, values, and mission of this church.Ability to communicate effectively with love and respect for the current congregation and its history.A proven track record of effective contemporary ministry and mission within a local community.Awareness of strengths and ability to utilise the strengths of others to complement their weaknesses.Appropriate theological training.Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia.Hold a current Australian drivers license.Possess a Blue Card or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.Possess a National Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.Willing to become endorsed as a Ministering Person with Churches of Christ.Additional Information:This role has the option of fulltime or part-time hours with flexible working arrangements, salary and conditions negotiable based on the recommendations of Churches of Christ.Accommodation available.Opportunity to join the cohort of pastors from across Churches of Christ Queensland as a wider network of support.Commencement date will be negotiated with the eldership.Application Process:Please send your CV and Cover Letter to Roma Church of Christ at: office@romachurchofchrist.orgPLEASE DO NOT APPLY VIA THE COFC WEBSITE THIS IS NOT MONITORED.If you have any questions about the role, please email: office@romachurchofchrist.org and one of our elders will call you at their earliest convenience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
