At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to support more Australians achieve their dream of homeownership, because we believe everyone deserves the chance to build their future.About the roleAs the RMG Collections Officer, you will be an integral part of our financial services team, responsible for assisting customers facing payment challenges. Your primary focus will be to engage with customers by telephone, understand the reasons behind overdue payments, and work towards finding feasible solutions to resolve their accounts.You''ll utilise your negotiation skills to establish payment arrangements, negotiate settlements, and provide empathetic support to customers in financial distress. Additionally, you''ll be expected to maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory standards to ensure the protection of customer data.Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract.ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of outstanding mortgage payments right across the arrears spectrum, through to and including Mortgage in Possession and Asset Realisation stage.Achieving sustainable solutions for customers and the business by obtaining payments on outstanding arrears accounts.Negotiating & implementing payment plans and manage adherence to these plans.Building rapport and relationships with customers.Identify financial hardships and refer to financial hardship specialists.Highly developed understanding of reconciliations.Sound understanding of legislative requirements as it relates to collections.Resolving any problems and addressing any queries in an efficient manner.Working with Bluestones legal and asset realisation team to ensure timely and accurate execution of Bluestones collection strategy.Your experienceExperience in the Banking & Finance industry in a collections role, previous mortgage collections experience is highly desirable.Previous experience working in a busy corporate environment.Strong customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations.Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-focused attitude and good attention to detail.About youDemonstrate strong negotiation abilities and the confidence to overcome objections.Be proficient in using various communication channels to engage with customers effectively.Be empathetic, have patience, and be truly focused on partnering with our customers to resolve delinquencies.Display strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in challenging scenarios.What makes us a great place to work?Our most important asset is our people.
