So join our team and build your careers with us!Area ManagerDivision: Boral Constr Mat LimitedDepartment: METRO CONCRETE NSWWork type: Permanent - full timeLocation: SydneyWe are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Concrete operations, leading teams and overseeing our plant operations in the Sydney Metro region across a number of sites.Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Area Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring the operational and financial success of a number of plants, whilst championing safety within the workplace and ensuring a high standard regarding the quality assurance of products are met.You will also support our operators with a strong focus on achieving safe and quality outcomes to optimise performance and profit.Your day will involve:Managing day to day activities of your allocated sites staff operated by both employees and contractors on siteManaging day to day administration of the Concrete Plants including stock control of raw materialsReporting on cost estimates and monthly forecastsManaging operating assets to achieve maximum availability and productivityProviding superior customer service to our internal and external stakeholders as requiredProviding safe and efficient leadership to Plant Managers on a daily basisWhat Are We Looking For?Relevant experience and a good knowledge within the Concrete, Construction or Building Materials industryFlexibility with working hours and availability to work weekends when requiredStrong leadership attributes including good people management skillsAbility to manage, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from a variety of functions to effectively manage projectsExperience with managing P&L statements and understanding finances & costsAbout Boral ConcreteAt Boral Concrete, we have more than 200 operational sites across Australia.
