Read more here.You will join one of the AI Product Engineering teams in the Small Business and Growth Division and be accountable for the successful delivery of key AI initiatives.You will manage a group of engineers while directly contributing to the team''s success by championing excellent engineering and delivery practices that enable the rapid delivery of high-quality software.You will be responsible for supporting your direct reports in becoming excellent Xeros, empowering them to deliver high-quality software to customers, and fostering a growth-oriented engineering culture. You will support your team in honing their engineering skills and growing as individuals to meet the team''s capabilities. Youll ensure the team has all the necessary information and feedback loops in place to discover and deliver valuable, usable, and buildable outcomes.Youll maintain a work environment where your team can do their best work predictably and sustainably.Youll monitor and support the operational health of your team and products, aiming for resilience.What you''ll do:Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing team through effective hiring, coaching, mentoring, and by setting a clear direction aligned with Xeros technology and strategic objectives.Drive continuous improvement by proactively reviewing, developing, and implementing best practices.Ensure your teams delivery pipeline flows predictably and sustainably by identifying and addressing blockers.Establish and maintain accurate, fit-for-purpose, and sustainable delivery systems within your team, including providing informed estimates, delivery forecasting, capacity planning, and reporting.Collaborate with peers in Product, Design, and Engineering to develop clear roadmaps and plans that effectively deliver business outcomes.Maintain current knowledge of relevant engineering technologies and stay updated with emerging practices, techniques, and frameworks.What you''ll bring with you:Deep experience managing software delivery and engineering teams using Lean-Agile methodologies.Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices and the software development lifecycle.Proven strong execution skills, consistently driving initiatives to successful completion.Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to lead and guide teams in dynamic, evolving environments.Experience in coaching and mentoring engineering teams.No prior experience with AI product delivery is required, but a strong interest in building AI products is essential.Why Xero?We offer generous paid leave for personal use, dedicated paid leave for physical and mental wellbeing, an Employee Assistance Program for mental health support, health and life insurance, income protection, wellbeing and sports programs, employee resource groups, 26 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers, an Employee Share Plan, modern offices, flexible working arrangements, career development opportunities, and many other benefits that reflect our human values.
