The role requires thriving in high-pressure situations, thinking like both an attacker and defender, and managing the entire incident response lifecycle. You will work in a global team environment where clear communication, documentation, and collaboration on security issues are essential.Responsibilities include conducting security monitoring and response activities for Amazon''s internal network. We value broad and deep technical knowledge in operating system security, network security, cryptography, software security, malware analysis, forensics, security operations, incident response, detection and hunting, and emergent security intelligence. You are not expected to be an expert in all areas but should be eager to learn.Basic QualificationsBSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent cybersecurity experience or certifications (e.g., GIAC).5+ years of experience in systems, network, and/or application security.3+ years of experience on a security team, especially in coordinating responses to security incidents.Proficiency in a programming or scripting language.Preferred Qualifications5+ years in incident response, security operations, automation tooling, hunting, or threat intelligence.Knowledge of malware analysis, forensics, SOAR, SIEM platforms, or detection engineering and hunting.Proficiency with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS).Experience with Amazon Web Services.Alignment with Amazon''s leadership principles.Additional InformationIn the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of land across Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community.
