As CMEs Director Policy, youll lead a high-performing team to develop robust, evidence-based policy positions on behalf of member companies. Reporting directly to the CEO, and part of CMEs Executive Team, this is a strategic leadership role with a broad remit and the opportunity to influence issues of state and national significance.The key responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of CMEs policy platform, aligning with strategic goals and member priorities.Drive policy work programs across a wide range of issues from regulation and sustainability to workforce, infrastructure, and community engagement.Build trusted relationships with member companies, government, and other stakeholders to reflect and represent the sectors interests.Provide high-level advice to the CEO, Board, and Committees on policy matters.What youll bring to the role:Significant experience in policy development and program implementation, ideally within a complex, member-based, or stakeholder-rich environment.Strong leadership capability, including managing teams and resources across multiple areas.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including significant experience preparing influential policy reports, submissions, and presentations.Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build influence at senior levels.A collaborative, strategic mindset and an understanding of the Western Australian policy landscape.Why CME?CME offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of policy development in WAs resources sector.
