The successful applicant will support cyber worthiness of Land C4 Mission Systems and could extend design and develop core features that manage and control the data plane of deployed communication networks.Applicants that have expertise in Software Defined Networking (or the ability to develop) is considered highly desirable.What The Role Will InvolveThe responsibilities of the role will include the following:Ensure Mission Systems are security accredited and operationally supported through ongoing management of accreditation documentation and reportingWork closely with the customer and business support teams to ensure security protection needs are implemented, system maintenance requirements are met, and incident response requirements are managed.Develop and maintain software components within an Agile, Systems Engineering-based environmentProduct improvement through innovationDevelop low-level requirements, design and verification proceduresImprove system performance through analysis, review & defect fixingContribute to and lead security discussion at customer workshops and technical reviews.What Youll BringThe role requires the following experience and skills:Extensive Experinece in Software EngineeringMinimum 2+ years cyber security experienceTertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalentProven development skills within the following areas:Object-oriented Development (Java/C#)Networking protocols (e.g. ICMP, RIP, PIM)Secure network & encryption standards (SSL/TLS, AES/SHA)Some experience in frontend or backend web development (e.g. React, C#.NET)Experience with network security and networking technologies with system, security and network monitoring toolsPractical implementation of ISM and DSPF requirements, ICT or Cyber Industry Training and/or demonstrable knowledgeAbout L3Harris Communication Systems And This OpportunityL3Harris Communication Systems is a Brisbane based subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and part of our Tactical Communications Division.
