Job Description - Principal Communications Advisor (250000G4)Job Number:250000G4DescriptionAt RACQ, were good people doing good things, making a positive impact every day, with opportunities to learn, grow, and be more.To take a lead role in promoting, protecting and defending RACQs brand across the business through strategic external communications campaigns across all platforms and rigorous issues management.Key Responsibilities:Research, write and edit content to a high standard for use across owned and earned communications channels.Advise on and develop proactive and reactive media strategies to promote, position and protect the Group and business lines reputation.Support RACQs PR and communication campaigns for Banking, Insurance and Assistance.Provide reports on media and campaign outcomes to Manager Media and Corporate Communications as part of the Groups reporting requirements.Manage updates to the Crisis Communications Manual and various plans, as required.Contribute to the management of RACQs social media and earned media responsibilities by participating in the on-call roster as required.Support management in Corporate Communications with crisis comms, including severe weather events.Represent RACQs interests in both formal and informal interactions with external stakeholders, including media.About you:Media, Public Relations, Political Advice or similar.5 years+ experience.Proven history of effective Public Relations and Corporate Media management.Demonstrated experience in issues management.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.Complete understanding of all media channels with the ability to develop compelling content aligned to business priorities across multiple channels.Demonstrated ability to write reports, speeches, media collateral, digital content.Previous media spokesperson experience.Why join RACQ?It is an exciting time to be part of RACQ as we continue our transformation towards better, smarter solutions that deliver more security and prosperity for Queenslanders.
