Operating from within Biosecurity Queensland, you will lead the plant biosecurity domestic market access sub-program, which aims to ensure Queensland''s plant industries maintain access to interstate markets through national negotiations of quarantine measures. This role helps maximise profitability and prevent adverse effects from new pests and diseases.Plant Biosecurity and Product Integrity (PBPI) plays a vital role in delivering BQ''s vision of leading innovative, customer-focused biosecurity services for Queensland. Its goal is to protect agricultural industries, the environment, and communities from plant pests and diseases, while facilitating trade in high-quality, safe agricultural products.As Our Manager Policy (Market Access), You WillLead and manage the effective delivery of the Market Access Sub-Program and limited-life funding projects to achieve outcomes aligned with Biosecurity Queensland''s strategic goals.Contribute to developing and implementing departmental, state, and national biosecurity initiatives, focusing on market access and quarantine measures. Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including government, community, and industry leaders, to facilitate biosecurity outcomes.Provide high-level policy and regulatory advice to senior leadership on domestic market access and biosecurity issues.For further information about this position and application details, please refer to the Role Description.
