We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to head our Technologies Faculty leading its strategic direction, driving innovation, and fostering excellence in teaching and learning.As the Head of Technologies you will:Lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the Technologies curriculumDeliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Design Technologies and EngineeringFoster a collaborative and innovative learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity and problem-solvingMentor and support staff within the Technologies Faculty, fostering professional growth and developmentManage department resources, budgets and facilities to ensure the effective delivery of the Technologies programBuild partnerships with industry leaders, universities, and external stakeholders to enhance student learning opportunities and outcomesStay ahead of emerging trends in technology and engineering education, continuously improving the quality and relevance of our programsEngage with students, parents and the broader community to promote and advocate for the importance of technology in educationAbout YouWe are looking for a passionate, forward-thinking leader with a strong background in engineering, design, and technology education. You will have:A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Design, Technology, or related fields)Proven leadership experience within an educational institution or similar environment, with a track record of successfully leading teams.A deep understanding of Technologies education including curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff, students, and external partnersA commitment to promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvementExperience building partnerships with industry, academia, and the wider community to enrich student learningThe successful applicant must hold Queensland College of Teachers registration and be willing to have their name submitted to the Anglican Churchs Professional Standards Register.
