The SES Recruitment, Development and Retention Unit supports the SES Workforce Strategy, which aims to attract and retain qualified and diverse talent for the SES through planning and implementing recruitment strategies, designing and delivering learning and development programs, and culture development initiatives to support staff and volunteers.The unit also monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of these activities and ensures compliance with relevant policies and regulations.You will be responsible for influencing the design of modern and contemporary practices to support attraction, selection, and recruitment of an inclusive, diverse, and capable volunteer workforce. You will analyze, design, and implement innovative approaches, policies, procedures, and supporting documentation for end-to-end recruitment and retention programs, while ensuring governance, compliance, and continuous improvement to meet organizational requirements.The Core Capability Requirements for This Role AreProvide high-level strategic leadership and direction for the delivery of innovative volunteer recruitment, development, retention, and culture development programs and practices to support service delivery that improves all stages of the volunteer lifecycle.Undertake research and analysis to develop programs, policies, and procedures, and provide strategic advice on emerging recruitment issues, opportunities, and trends to support and inform business intelligence, strategy, and capability development, guiding decision-making.Oversee case management of complex and sensitive attraction and recruitment issues and processes, providing expert advice to senior management with awareness of their potential impact on strategic, political, or operational outcomes for the department.Lead and deliver recruitment, development, and retention services, advice, and support, including identifying and analyzing complex and sensitive issues and initiatives.Develop and maintain efficient, contemporary systems and procedures that support best practice volunteer recruitment and enhance recruitment service delivery.Prepare, evaluate, and review complex reports, briefs, submissions, and other correspondence on issues and initiatives in accordance with departmental requirements.Build, engage, collaborate, and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, support efficient processes, and achieve outcomes.Promote and support a teamwork approach by understanding team roles and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes with a commitment to effective and quality service delivery.Role RequirementsTechnical/Operational/Educational Experience:Knowledge, experience, and/or qualification in contemporary HR management, organizational development, and/or organizational psychology and best practices.An appreciation of undertaking an organizational development/HR function within a volunteer organization, or the ability to quickly develop this appreciation, will be highly regarded.OtherThe incumbent may occasionally be required to travel to locations throughout Queensland.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/634371/25Closing Date: Wednesday, 14th May 2025Occupational group: HR & Industrial Relations#J-18808-Ljbffr
