We prioritize ongoing learning and development within our team.Role DescriptionThis position involves autonomous management of key accounting functions, supporting the CFO with accurate and timely financial reporting, including General Ledger, Fixed Asset Register, and compliance with tax and external reporting requirements. The role emphasizes process improvement and staff development aligned with Forensicare''s strategic goals.Key ResponsibilitiesManage month-end processes, ensuring accuracy of the General Ledger and Asset Register.Conduct variance analysis and prepare management reports.Monitor monthly cash flow.Review monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts.Deliver DH Reports, including results, forecasts, and budgets.Prepare annual statutory accounts and external reports.Manage external audits and ensure compliance.Oversee BAS and FBT preparations, ensuring legislative compliance.Lead the financial accounting team, fostering efficiency and development.Candidate ProfileProven managerial skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Leadership skills to guide and improve team processes.Extensive experience with accounting systems, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Magiq and Microsoft D365 is advantageous.Experience with month-end closing, financial reporting, and public sector accounting.Knowledge of audit processes and compliance in the public sector.QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualifications in finance and accounting.CPA or CA membership.Additional BenefitsInvestment in staff development and career pathways.Salary packaging options.Comprehensive safety and wellbeing programs.Recognition and support initiatives.Access to confidential employee assistance programs.Application DetailsFor a detailed position description, click [Head of Financial Accounting.pdf].
