DescriptionThe OpportunityAs a Consulting Manager, within ISGs Advisory practice you will have the opportunity to be part of a team on client projects in our Public or Enterprise sectors. You will assist and/or take a lead in the development of initial assessments, project plans, performing and reviewing detailed analysis, developing solution recommendations and tailored market insights, supporting strategy development, provider research, financial modelling, RFx development, contract negotiations and post selection administrative actions, helping to harness the power of data and leading-edge technology to unlock the potential in organisations which will help position them for the next wave of growth and competitive advantage.You can expect to spend your time participating as a key contributor on large or mega-deal engagements, working on digital topics, contributing to business development activities or on a broader set of critical, unique challenges presented by our clients. As you collaborate with your ISG team, you will increase your understanding of business and technology problems from a wide range of perspectives and develop new skills. With continued opportunities we will assist you in developing specialised knowledge in key areas within the services offered to ISGs clients.Applicants who are considered for the Public Sectormust beAustralian citizens to qualify for an Australian Commonwealth security clearance.The ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:Digital Transformation - Provide consultation services to clients and suppliers in areas of outsourcing, project management, financial modelling, commercial and technical negotiation, and change management. Helping clients to re-imagine the impact of digital on their business and accelerate their transformation efforts.New Ways of Working - Building ongoing organisational change capabilities, and helping clients transform into digital enterprises that continue to develop and innovate with speed, at scale.Gaining an understanding of clients current situations and environments by gathering needed information and using appropriate frameworks and models to inform the development of assessment material for decision-making purposes.Leading the planning and development of project deliverables and assume responsibility for staffing, budget, work plans, scope, project milestones, issues management and risk management.Developing simple to medium complexity financial models utilising ISG templates for comparative analysis of vendor proposals, client data and RFx proposals.Executing value creation strategies that result in game changing outcomes for ISG Clients.Duties and responsibilities described in this job description may not be a comprehensive list. Additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time as necessitated by business demands.The Role RequirementsOur ideal candidate will have:Up to 7 years of recent experience in sourcing or consulting engagements, including strong experience in RFx/procurement activities.Experience focused on organisational transformation activities including shared services, operational improvement, and outsourcing/offshoring.Expertise in one or more of the following capabilities is desirable: Digital and Technology, Architecture, Change Management, Networks, Finance and Accounting, Supply Chain and BPO.Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking.Working knowledge of capabilities of service provider landscape.Some delivery management experience, including managing small teams, successful client relationship management and multi-project oversight.Ability to do both strategic assessment and transactional consulting, engaging with client executives.Strong knowledge of functional budgets and the budgeting process (HRO, F&A, IT, etc.).Experience developing medium complexity financial models and business cases.Proven knowledge and experience across technology and business process domains.Demonstrable proficiency with MS-Office suite of software applications and tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.About YouOur ideal candidate will need:Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas; structure communications and prepare documents and presentations in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management including senior leaders.You are flexible, a fast learner and able to work independently, with some oversight.Excellent listening skills.Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task.Your EducationA relevant undergraduate degree, with a keen interest in post-graduate learning and development.Industry certifications in relevant digital domain (desirable).Applying with usWe welcome applications from all ages and genders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse groups, the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, refugees and people with disability.If you dont tick every box in this job description, please dont rule yourself out.
