Our design solutions are aimed at transforming the way people interact with their built environment.About the Studio Director roleAs we head into 2025/26 FY, IA will be launching a new studio based in Hobart. We are looking for an experienced Design Leader to establish and manage the Hobart studio.The Studio Director is responsible for taking the lead with establishing the Hobart studio and growing this market and team. The Studio Director will liaise with stakeholders, manage the team, be responsible for revenue and ensuring the successful delivery of exceptional projects.Does this sound like you?10 years + experience working in the Design/Construction industryA successful track record in growing and leading a Design teamA successful track record in business development and client developmentDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a dead-line oriented environmentA strong financial acumenExperience in managing and leading multi-disciplinary teamsAn all-rounder; understands the entire design delivery processUnderstand the market dynamics which is driving the new agile workplaceKey ResponsibilitiesThe Studio Director is responsible for the overall commercial outcomes of the Studio within the state and supporting IA Groups business units and revenue streams and profit outcomesLead and effectively collaborate with clients and the design teamProvide leadership across project planning and designManage teams to deliver tender and proposal submissions to secure new workResponsibility to deliver adequately resourced, designed and compliant projects to meet clients expectations and that are profitableAct as project manager on assigned accountsDelegate staffing to projects to ensure efficiencies and optimum staff utilisationLead the Quality Assurance culture and methodologyParticipate in technical advisory roles as requiredEnsure quality and timeliness of project submissions and EOIsLead and review fee proposals and client pitches and any external material on behalf of the teamEnsure adequate flow of new work for the team to achieve overall revenue targetsTake the lead role on major pitchesWhat its like to work for IA..IA promotes an inclusive and flexible work environment with opportunities for national collaboration across our studios.
