Professional requirements in place (or a willingness to obtain):Full registration as a Counsellor with a recognised professional association (e.g. ACA, PACFA)Paid Working With Children Check (NSW)Current NSW Police CheckProfessional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance Knowledge of paediatric assessment tools and confidence in administering themYoure familiar with common assessments and you feel comfortable using them to inform meaningful, individualised support for children and families. A team player with the ability to work independentlyYou enjoy working alongside others but also feel confident planning and managing your own caseload. Strong communication skills with big hearts and little onesYou can connect easily with children, families, and professionals, and youre comfortable communicating both in writing and in conversation. Experience with the NDIS (preferred but not essential)Familiarity with NDIS reporting, goal-setting, and family-centred practice is a bonus but support and guidance will be provided if youre still learning.
