This position will drive the centralization of pricing, in order to establish a common quoting and price maintenance processes. They will be a business partner responsible for monitoring and interpreting the pricing performance of the Value Center Teams, establishing processes for efficient and informed decision making, and coordinating timely analysis.The position is a high-visibility, high-impact position that will directly contribute to the growth and profitability of the business.The purpose of the Pricing Manager Function is to deliver:Pricing excellenceDefine, and create pricing tools and practices within the organization in close coordination with Product Managers and Marketing. This will include gathering data, building networks, and providing trainingDrive the establishment of a pricing infrastructure including process, systems, and tools and coordinate the efforts across all Value Center Teams (VCTs) and Market TeamsData analysisOversee and coordinate the analysis of pricing information through internal and external sources to identify opportunities and measure progressProvide pricing expertise and interpretations of key pricing measures and tools; make suggestions for improvements in support of VCT plans. Communicate and interpret the results of pricing analyses to the commercial organization in a form that is used to drive improvementsTraining, collaboration and leadershipCollaborate closely with Product Managers (VCT leaders), Marketing, and Sales Managers to translate marketing/pricing strategies into tactical pricing and price listsOversee and create educational and training tools to cascade pricing know-how throughout the organization; deliver content through face-to-face meetings, presentations, video conferences, on-line courses, etcProvide thought-leadership on the Pricing Capabilities internal go-to-market approach and maintain the SAP, SFDC and other materials and insights regarding pricingRequired Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related discipline. MBA is a plusPrior experience with B2B pricing. Manufacturing or industrial experience a plus.Working knowledge of strategy beyond pricing mechanicsProven communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively compose, write, edit and proofread business correspondence, contracts, proposals and management reportsComplete understanding of the Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access).
