THE ROLE We are currently seeking a casual Shed Hand (pick packer) to join our team at our NSW branch in Smithfield. The Shed Hand will support the warehouse department by processing lightweight pre-finished products in a clean, easy warehouse picking environment. The role involves aisle picking in pairs, processing small orders with an early start and early finish. This position emphasizes contributing to our vision of being fast, flexible, and frequent. A reasonable level of fitness is required due to repetitive twisting, bending, lifting, stretching, and manual handling. You will report to the warehouse supervisor. Applicants with warehouse pick & pack experience are encouraged to apply. Those with a forklift license will be highly regarded. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Uphold and abide by Woodhouse Timbers safety management system; Pick, strap, and wrap lightweight pre-finished timber orders efficiently in pairs; Read and understand customer orders clearly; Maintain legible handwriting; Keep your designated work area clean and tidy; Assist in cleaning communal areas; Follow stock procedures as directed by the warehouse supervisor; and Undertake additional duties as required by your supervisor or management. ABOUT YOU ESSENTIALS Great work ethic and willingness to work in a team; Ability to make sound decisions; Ability to work autonomously. HIGHLY REGARDED Prior experience in order picking; Experience with manual handling roles; RF scanning experience.
