Job Description Ability Action Australia''s South Eastern team is seeking Behaviour Support Practitioners who hold current suitability at the Core level, as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Responsibilities will include: Assisting NDIS participants, their families, and carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning. Developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support environment. Creating meaningful goals and strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in home and community settings. Ensuring plans reflect participants'' goals, passions, and strengths, enhancing their quality of life. Building the capacity of those supporting participantsfamily, carers, friends, etc. Acting as an advocate and role model for best practices. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications Current suitability at the Core level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Degree qualification as an allied health professional. Report writing experience. Excellent time management and organizational skills for managing a varied caseload. Proactive attitude with a focus on improvement and learning. Genuine passion for working in the disability sector. To succeed, you should be solution-focused, highly organized, and possess excellent people skills. You will be passionate and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
