Our Service headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs, and/or work and study support. Offered: Based in Nundah, QLD Fixed-Term, part-time (0.8 FTE) contract until 30/06/2026 (Must be available to work 11am - 7pm for one day of the week) Paying on HPSS Level 3 (above award payment for highly experienced clinicians) plus Super Salary Packaging options (up to $15,899 tax free!) Leave loading at 17.5% Stride Rewards access to discounts from 100s of retailers (fashion, food, and fitness) One paid wellbeing leave day per year (only for 6 month + contracts) Purchase up to 5 additional leave days in a 12-month period (pro-rata entitlement if part-time) (only for contracts of 12 months +) Supportive team environment Excellent training and career development Role Overview As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Clinician will provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of young people and families within a community-based mental health care setting. Responsibilities include: Providing high-standard assessments, psychological, counselling, and therapeutic interventions Opportunities to run group programs Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders The Senior Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to a small team of clinicians, with internal clinical escalation pathways. Requirements Must have one of the following: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, or AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker Advanced knowledge and skills in contemporary clinical practice Extensive experience providing clinical services to young people (12-25 years) Understanding of mental health systems and programs in community settings Interpersonal skills to work sensitively with individuals at risk of or experiencing mental illness Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team Strong organisational and time-management skills Excellent communication skills Support the Clinical Manager in team processes and service delivery within a trauma-informed framework Must be eligible for a Blue Card and willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance Stride is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable people.
