Job Description

The Team:The Financial Analyst will work collaboratively with the Finance and Business Support team to:Support the development of the Department of Health (DoH) budget, monitor and report on financial performance, and handle related queries and correspondence.Ensure timely and accurate processing of cash and accrual revenue, expenditure, and journal transactions, in accordance with legislative requirements.Assist with business services and management reporting.Help prepare periodic and annual financial reports.Undertake specific projects as required.Current responsibilities include:Maintaining the Departments asset registers, including leased assets.Overseeing the capitalization of completed building works.Identifying transactions impacting the integrity of the financial management information system.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria to address in your application.Details of AppointmentPermanent, full-time, day worker, 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.This selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for six months from the date of publication.Salary: $81,915 - $94,263 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation contribution.Salary in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.More information about employee benefits can be found here.Desirable criteria include:Tertiary accounting qualifications or progress towards them.Experience with TechnologyOne Enterprise Suite or similar ERP system.Note: Please refer to the Application Guide for pre-employment check details.Download the Statement of Duties and associated documentsReview the Applicant Guide and Statement of Duties for an overview of duties, program, selection process, and criteria.Generic Financial Analyst Band 4 (July 2023) CSU.docxApplicant GuideDepartment of Health - Applicant Guide June 22.pdfDepartment of Health - Applicant Guide June 22.docxHow to ApplyApply online by clicking the "Apply" button.
