Coral Expeditions is wholly owned by the NRMA and joins a connected family of companies including NRMA Parks and Resorts, NRMA Roadside Assist, NRMA Marine and Ferries as well as SIXT Car Rentals.To support the operation, an opportunity exists for a Second Officer to join our fleet with an immediate start.Responsibilities include:Stand a bridge watch at sea or at anchorDraw up passage planning from port to port for each voyage the vessel undertakesAssist Master as required in creation of mud maps for areas and ensure all control sheets are completedEnsure all radio checks are performed in accordance with legislation and all other bridge equipment is working in accordance with required specificationsDeliver induction to all new crew onboard the vesselOH&S onboard representative, responsible for running a monthly OH&S meetingIn liaison with the Chief Officer ensure that all safety and firefighting equipment is properly maintained and meets survey requirementsContinually liaise with the Expedition Leader and Purser to determine the daily program of activities and requirementsAssist in handling and transportation of all guests baggage to and from the vessel and other turnaround duties as requiredWhat we can offer you:Accommodation and meals provided on boardAn opportunity to see spectacular placesCareer paths in Maritime with internationally recognised experienceFinancial assistance with gaining qualificationsRosters will require a commitment of up to 6 -8 weeks duration for domestic and international voyages.If this is the exciting career opportunity you are seeking, please submit your application.As we screen all applicants and select candidates whose qualifications and experience meet our needs, we will carefully consider your application during the initial screening and will contact you if you are selected to continue in the recruitment process.
