Department of HealthHospitals & Primary Care - Hospitals NWNorth West Regional HospitalApplications must be submitted by Tuesday 20 May, 2025 11:55 PMTuesday 20 May, 2025 11:55 PM AESTAward/Classification:Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 3$73,811 to $79,779 pro rata, per annumEmployment type:CasualRegion:North WestLocation:North West Regional HospitalWe are seeking applicants who can provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for the hospital, with a high level of attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.The Role:Provide clients with a professional and confidential reception service through the Switchboard, Main Reception, and Emergency Department Reception, including immediate attention to patients presenting for treatment.Undertake all administrative functions related to emergency admissions and after-hours direct admissions.The Team:The Switchboard Department operates 24/7 across 3 shifts: 7am - 3pm (Day), 3pm - 11pm (Afternoon), and 11pm - 7am (Night). Night shift duties include working in the Emergency Department as both Switchboard and Emergency Triage Clerk. Responsibilities include booking visitors'' units, completing On Call Rosters, greeting new and locum doctors, and providing accommodation keys. Additional duties may include reception at main reception, internal mail clerk, and Parkside reception coverage. Applicants should consider their availability for short-notice call-ins across all shifts and potential work at both North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the date of publication.Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata), plus 11.5% superannuation contribution.
