Gunnedah is a vibrant regional town with abundant walking trails, fishing, water sports, and various cafes and restaurants. The region is rich in history with museums and Australian wildlife.About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at the Vickery Open Cut mine.Reporting to the Superintendent Health, Safety & Training, you will promote a positive health & safety culture by providing support, advice, coaching, and assisting in developing and implementing Whitehaven Coal''s health & safety strategies.What Youll DoAssist in developing and implementing internal health and safety strategies, plans, and policiesFacilitate or participate in incident investigations, risk assessments, and management of change processesMonitor the sites emergency preparedness and response equipment and capabilitiesSupport and participate in site WHS Committee meetings, pre-start, and toolbox talksMonitor compliance and provide ongoing support to Operations, Contractors, and Corporate TeamsWhat Youll BringKnowledge of NSW WH&S legislation and statutory requirementsExperience with Onsite & SharePoint or similar systemsA genuine passion to embody the Whitehaven STRIVE Values and contribute to a collaborative organizational cultureExperience in the mining industryWhy Whitehaven Coal?Full Relocation Packages9 Day Fortnight Roster (5:2 | 4:3)5 weeks Annual Leave | 15 days Personal Leave | 26 weeks Paid Parental LeaveCareer Development, Mentorship, and CoachingWhitehaven Coal is committed to increasing the representation of women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the workplace.
