This role is an important part of the leadership team working alongside Quarry, Sales, Maintenance, and Garden & Landscape divisions.Permanent Full-time; 38 hours per weekAbility to work weekends and public holidays as requiredCompetitive salary + super, along with a company laptop and mobileTraining and Development opportunities availableLocation: Newbridge, VICCompany Overview:ASQ is a locally owned, family-operated business, servicing Central Victoria since 1970. The business includes three divisions: ASQ Allstone Quarries, ASQ Premix Concrete, and ASQ Garden & Landscape. We provide products, expertise, and solutions for a wide range of projects, both locally and throughout Victoria. Our quarry supplies quality crushed rock and aggregate materials to Bendigo and surrounding districts, with large stockpiles and a fast, safe turnaround.ASQ Assets offers fleet and maintenance services to ensure our trucks, vehicles, and heavy equipment are maintained and operate safely and efficiently.About the Role:Your main responsibilities will include:Overseeing maintenance, scheduling, and operation of the quarry transport fleet, ensuring vehicles are efficient and safeEnsuring compliance with industry regulationsManaging truck and driver allocation, scheduling routes, and overseeing subcontractorsPlanning daily delivery schedules for timely deliveries and pickupsLeading a team of transport drivers and weighbridge operators, conducting performance reviews, and providing trainingActing as primary contact for suppliers and maintaining stakeholder relationshipsOverseeing safety protocols, fatigue management, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with WHS and environmental standardsMaintaining accurate fleet operation records and submitting reports to senior leadershipManaging weighbridge operations, including audits and ensuring smooth operations during absencesKey Selection Criteria:3+ years experience in managing transport, fleet, or similar roles3+ years leadership experience in a related industryExperience in developing and managing budgetsExperience with weighbridge systems (desirable)Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a teamKnowledge of OHS and environmental regulationsAvailability to work weekends and public holidays as requiredAll positions are subject to medicals, including drug and alcohol screening.
