HammondCare works to provide its staff with support, career development opportunities, education, responsibility and recognition, work/life balance, and satisfying roles.About the roleThe full-time role of Clinical Nurse Educator works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to contribute to the achievement of HammondCares organisational goals by delivering clinical education programs that assist staff in providing high-quality care that is customer-focused.The essence of this roleProvide educational leadership and clinical guidance to unit staff to foster the development of knowledge and skills in the area of speciality.Promote a culture of enquiry and learning that facilitates the development of person-centred practiceWork in partnership with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM), CNS, HammondCare Education Lead and other clinical managers to ensure education activities build and maintain a cohesive clinical teamDeliver clinical nurse education in the unit and provide educational programs based on needs analysisEvaluate clinical education programs and report/discuss outcomes with the NUM to ensure effectivenessQualifications | Work Experience | Skills and CompetenciesCurrent registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyRelevant Post Graduate qualification or extensive clinical experiencein palliative careEducation qualification or willingness to complete would be an advantage.Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or currently enrolled in the program would be an advantageDemonstrated skills in developing, delivering and evaluating education programsProven ability to provide clinical leadership and act as a resource person/mentor for nursing staffEvidence of initiation/participation in Quality Improvement initiativesExperience as a Clinical Nurse Educator or Clinical Nurse Specialist would be an advantageExperience managing a team of skilled professionalsStrong administrative and computer skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat we offerSalary Packaging Benefits (up to $15,900 tax-free)Professional Development opportunities (Conferences, PEPA Training, Scholarship)HammondCare Employee Benefits (Fitness Passport, JB Hifi discounts)Scholarship and education opportunities with HammondCareFlexibility with job-sharing opportunitiesHammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation, all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognisedReady to make a change?
