Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$160,000.00/yr - A$200,000.00/yrA cutting-edge technology firm is looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join its Sensor Fusion AI team. This role is focused on building and optimizing internal software tools and automated workflows to power advanced sensor fusion engines in real-time environments.Youll play a critical role in developing high-performance systems and pipelines for AI and data processing, enabling real-world applications across dynamic and complex environments. Collaborate with engineers, drone operators, and AI researchers to support field testing, data handling, and performance benchmarking.Key Responsibilities:Design and build internal tools for data processing, automation, benchmarking, and testingProfile and optimize critical code for performance, scalability, and low latencyDevelop and maintain automated workflows and pipelines (CI/CD, MLOps, DataOps)Work with field engineers to gather and analyse real-world sensor dataTroubleshoot software issues and enhance system reliabilityRefactor code and uphold strong testing and documentation standardsCollaborate within a high-performing, cross-functional AI/engineering teamContribute to technical decisions shaping the future of deployed sensor systemsWhat You Bring:A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience in a software engineering environmentStrong background in CI/CD, DataOps, or MLOps pipeline creationProficient in object-oriented programming, ideally C++Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and applied mathematics/physicsComfortable working in Linux environments with containerisation toolsBonus Points For:Experience in data engineering or AI/ML systemsProficiency in C++ and build/test tooling (CMake)Background in GPU-based development (TensorRT, CUDA)Knowledge of sensor fusion or object tracking algorithmsInterested candidates should click Apply, and send through your details.
