Project Overview The Pluto Train 2 project involves expanding LNG capacity at the Pluto LNG facility near Karratha, Western Australia, in partnership with Woodside Energy. Bechtel is responsible for delivering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services. Job Summary The HSE & Training Coordinator will develop and implement health, safety, environment, and training programs, fostering a safety culture on the Pluto Train 2 Project. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented approach to promote a safe and productive work environment. Major Responsibilities Deliver training modules according to the HSE Training Management Plan. Maintain and update HSE&T documentation for compliance. Manage HSE&T reporting requirements. Report on conformance to HSE&T Management Plans monthly. Ensure personnel competency and manage project registers. Verify subcontractor compliance with safety and training plans. Participate in review of incidents and lessons learned. Coordinate HSE campaigns and initiatives. Schedule and coordinate training sessions, engaging RTOs as needed. Support development of training materials and hazard recognition programs. Implement peer leadership and HSE&T leadership programs. Maintain data integrity through record retention systems. Encourage a learning culture and continuous improvement. Track refresher and specialized training needs. Maintain HSE&T calendars and support project activities. Assist the HSE Manager and Deputy as required. Support vehicle safety and communication initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Degree or Graduate Diploma in Safety and Health or Hazard Management preferred. Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (TAE40116). Experience in HSE education and training on large construction projects. Knowledge of Western Australia Workplace Health and Safety laws. Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently. White Card (Construction Safety Induction). Emergency response qualifications (desirable). Additional Information This role involves exposure to active construction environments, working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. Candidates must use PPE and adhere to safety protocols. The position is open to local and non-local personnel, with a 3/1 FIFO/DIDO roster for non-locals.
