We are bold, imaginative, respectful, and compassionate.About the opportunity:We have an exciting opening for a Maintenance Officer/Skilled Handyperson to undertake tasks supporting service delivery, including maintenance of property, land assets, plant, and equipment.Role responsibilities:Ensure care and accommodation services are provided in a safe, sustainable, and homely environment through timely maintenance, both planned and reactive.Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families, demonstrating empathy and understanding of the needs of our aged residents.Ensure all maintenance work complies with corporate standards and WHS regulations.Perform building and property maintenance tasks promptly, whether routine, planned, or reactive.Qualifications & Skills:Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of legislation related to buildings, workplace health, and safety.Trade background preferred but not essential.Ability to maintain buildings and equipment in compliance with legislation and standards.Understanding contractor obligations.Current NSW drivers license.Desirable:Experience in maintenance roles within aged care or retirement living settings.Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (training available).Benefits & Culture:NFP salary packaging options.Uniform provided and laundry allowance.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Additional notes:This role requires a Police check, NDIS worker check, functional assessments, and references.
