This role exists to help us push the frontier of how AI can be applied within a venture capital firm, automating internal processes, streamlining decision-making, and enhancing the way we identify and support exceptional founders.In briefThis role reports to the Partners, sitting in the Scouting and Investments functionsBased in Melbourne or SydneyLead the AI strategy and implementation across the operations of the Australia fund, with input to Antler global Tech and Marketing teamsIdentify generational businesses and outlier founders for the next wave of AI investments - with input and a front-row seat on investment decisionsBe a builder - design, prototype and implement AI-powered workflows, agents and internal toolsIdentify and guide founders who are building with or enabled by AI to back the very bestShape how Antler Australia uses and teaches frontier AI capabilities, setting the gold standard for operational excellence and AI enablementInvest in the best AI founders in Australia and help them build generational companiesSource the best inception stage founders in Australia and encourage them to build with AntlerContribute a strong voice to investment decisions and attend Investment Committees to have a seat at the tableAgentify Antlers internal processes and toolingIdentify high-impact areas across our operations that can be automated or enhanced through AI agents and workflows (e.g., scouting, investment due diligence, portfolio support)Build and maintain AI-based tools and agentic workflows that improve operational efficiencyCollaborate with global Tech and Marketing teams (based in Australia) to influence global roadmap and embed best practicesBe a thought leader in AI-first startup creation and actively engage in the Australian founder and AI ecosystemsCurate and lead educational content (workshops, templates, walkthroughs) on building with LLMs, synthetic data, and verticalised AI solutionsGuide founders through how to leverage AI in their startup ideasacross GTM, product design, automation, and strategyRequirements35 years experience in a startup or VC-backed company, ideally with exposure to AI products in a Product, Growth or Operations roleHands-on experience building or using AI agents, automation workflows (e.g., Zapier, Gumloop), or AI dev tools (e.g., n8n, v0, Lovable)Demonstrated understanding of AI application areas like productivity agents, custom GPTs, or workflow orchestrationPassion for founder journeys - with a strong network within AI builder, product, or developer communitiesHigh agency, initiative and curiosity.
