Package & RemunerationJOB DESCRIPTIONKey Responsibilities:Accountable for the laying, cutting, stamping, and sorting of outwork on a large scale for multiple production lines.Oversee a department with a staff compliment of over 100 employees.Plan, organize, lead, and control assets and staff.Manage the constant flow of fabric.Ensure Caledon factory production lines are fed timely with correct components.Manage automated and manual cutting technology.Plan the Cutting Room Workflow on a daily, bi-weekly, and 2-month basis.Review continuous assessments related to cost reduction initiatives, e.g., waste management.Ensure quality standards are met according to Standard Order of Process.Optimize fabric utilization.Review and approve job reconciliations.Maintain reject, rework, and recut rates.Maintain employee relations and discipline according to TFG policies.Report daily absence counts to Caledon HR Department.Maintain good housekeeping standards.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Implement individual development plans and identify training needs.Attend and coordinate daily Cutting Room team meetings.Qualifications and Experience:5+ years clothing manufacturing experience (Essential).Grade 12 qualification.National Diploma or Degree in Fabric Technology or similar (Advantageous).Experience with Style Man and Fast React (Advantageous).Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Management experience (Essential).Cost management experience.Knowledge and experience in waste management.Behaviours:Ensures accountability by taking responsibility and holding others accountable for performance targets.Manages complexity by interpreting and simplifying complex information to resolve organizational problems.Plans and aligns by developing plans and prioritizing initiatives that support organizational goals.Note:Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.ABOUT USWho we are is because of our people.
