Job Description We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic, customer and safety-focused Security Officer. Reporting to the Security Manager, the Security Officers role is to ensure the safety and security of persons, premises, and assets, while providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders. The Security Officer Responsibilities Include (but Not Limited To) Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders Conduct regular foot patrols of the site and its assets Perform unlock and lock-up of access points within the site Monitor, control, and maintain CCTV, access control, and BMS systems Operate fire systems Respond to incidents, resolve issues, and report accordingly Manage contractors and visitors onsite Skills And Experience Minimum 2 years of security experience (Control Room experience highly regarded) VIC Security Licence (must include Control Room and Monitoring accreditation) Current First Aid & CPR certification Knowledge of work health and safety and risk management practices Understanding of current industry standards and requirements Proven experience in emergency response procedures Strong customer service skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience operating systems within a Control Room environment (including CCTV, Access Control, BMS; Intergriti and Avigilon experience highly regarded) Ability to understand, interpret, and follow policies, procedures, and instructions High level of computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office suite) Working with children card or willingness to obtain one Benefits And Culture Supportive and inclusive culture focused on innovative service delivery Professional and safe working environment Access to employee benefits and entitlements Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available to employees and their families Focus on learning and development Salary above award rates by 3% Long weekends every fortnight (Burwood/Control only) Seven days off every fortnight This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company and work with a professional team where you can develop your career.
