Job PurposeAn exciting opportunity for a Transport Allocator to join our team on afternoon shift!This role will be responsible for arranging the plan of the work for our fleet of trucks who handle FCL and MT Movements in and around the Port and surrounding suburbs.Key AccountabilitiesExport planning and manifesting to wharf terminalsImport planning and collection from wharf terminalsDelivery and planning completion with customers in SE QLD and Northern NSWEmpty container dehire and collectionsAllocating DPW transport assets to achieve utilisation targets each shiftCommunication with DPW yards and terminals to achieve utilisation targets each shiftCommunication with customers and relevant stakeholdersReporting duties as requiredQualifications, Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will possess the following:At least 2 years experience in a transport related roleMust know and understand Chain of ResponsibilityKnowledge of 1-Stop and Container Chain operating systemsKnowledge of Import and Export requirements at the portKnowledge and understanding of Fisherman Island PrecinctPrevious data-entry and administration experience with EXCELWillingness to learn transport operating systemExcellent communication and planning skills and attention to detailDemonstrated teamworking skills and outstanding customer service skillsUnderstanding NHVR for route planning and weight limits etcSupporting equalityDP World is committed to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
