Every Patient Matters.Job DescriptionIn this full-time Finance Analyst role based at Epworth Hawthorn Hospital, you will be responsible for financial and operational processes and analysis that underpin the sustainable operation of the hospital.You will be part of the management team, reporting to the Finance Manager, and must hold a Bachelor Degree or higher in Business and/or Accounting/Commerce, or another analytical discipline with demonstrated experience in a finance analytical role.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding high-quality and responsive financial and analysis support to the executive team and internal business customers, primarily the clinical management team.Supporting the Finance Manager to deliver the month-end financial reporting process.Supporting the Finance Manager to create the annual hospital budget in conjunction with the executive team and managers.Analyzing revenue and cost opportunities within the hospital.Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities to deliver strategic changes to improve operational and financial performance.Engaging with clinical and management teams to forecast activity, revenue, and costs.Supporting the Epworth Group-wide finance functions, including involvement in group-wide projects.Success FactorsYou will be technically proficient and enjoy engaging with clinical and management professionals, applying your financial and analytical skills to help achieve organizational operational and financial goals.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor Degree or higher in Business, Accounting/Commerce, or another analytical discipline, with CA or CPA certification.Financial management and business management experience.Proven ability to work independently, set, and achieve goals and objectives.Demonstrated history of identifying and delivering operational improvements.Strong interpersonal and relationship skills to complement your financial analytical skills.Aspirations to build healthcare industry knowledge and progress your career.Additional InformationEpworths Rehabilitation and Mental Health services are among the most progressive in Australia, involving individualized treatment and collaborative decision-making across our campuses in Richmond, Hawthorn, Camberwell, and Brighton.Community and BenefitsAt Epworth, its a community.
