The Project also includes the design and construction of associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers.Job Summary:In this role, you will participate in subcontract formation and/or administration. Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements.Major Responsibilities:Contract FormationConforms and ensures subcontract executionDirects negotiation in the commitment of subcontractsDevelops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assignedPrepares bidders lists and pre-qualifies biddersForms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved biddersCoordinates bidders questions and answers to those questionsReceives bids and evaluates bids commerciallyPrepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendationsRecommends and secures approvals in accordance with established proceduresPrepares subcontract documents for executionPrepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the customer and contractor on all contractual mattersAfter reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedulesEducation and Experience Requirements:Level 1Requires bachelor''s degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experienceLevel 2Requires bachelor''s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Proficiency in all phases of the formation and award of large, moderately complex construction contracts and services contracts.Broad experience in contracts administration.Developing various contract types and associated pricing arrangements.Experience in negotiating legal terms and conditions.Working knowledge of change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution.Skilled in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups.Demonstrated skills in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groupsThere are many reasons why choosing to join Bechtel is one of the best career decisions you will ever make.
