The small business function within the team develops and implements ASIC''s small business strategy, engaging with stakeholders to address issues and opportunities. The Role The Senior Manager leads a team responsible for identifying, assessing, and responding to regulatory issues in the small business sector. They collaborate internally and externally to deliver programs that promote compliance and positive outcomes for small businesses, consumers, and investors. Key Responsibilities Lead regulatory and supervisory activities involving the small business sector. Develop and implement effective regulatory strategies and interventions. Build and manage strategic partnerships with stakeholders, industry groups, and other regulatory bodies, including representing ASIC externally. Lead and develop an effective team through strategic direction, coaching, and leadership. Present insights and recommendations to executive and board-level audiences. About You You should have a relevant tertiary qualification, experience in regulation or working with small businesses, strong strategic thinking skills, and experience leading high-performing teams. Regulatory knowledge, data literacy, risk management, and technological proficiency are essential. Soft skills such as communication, influence, negotiation, leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving are also crucial.
