As Australias only specialist eye, ear, nose, and throat hospital, it provides care annually for around 190,000 patients, with over 130,000 outpatients, nearly 44,000 emergency patients, and over 14,000 inpatients.About the RoleAs the Executive Director of People and Culture, you will report directly to the Chief Executive and be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. You will lead the People and Culture team to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance performance and reputation while ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment. The role will also require regular operational mentorship to this very busy team.Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development and execution of the Eye and Ears Strategic Plan. Lead the implementation of the Eye and Ears Workforce Strategy to enhance workplace culture, performance, and reputation. Foster a psychologically safe work environment, promoting a culture where all staff feel safe to speak up. Support the People and Culture team to provide high-quality organisation wide assistance and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Continue to build organisation-wide capability in leadership, health & safety, and workforce wellbeing. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Monitor and achieve KPIs, budget expectations, and project deliverablesAbout YouThe successful candidate will support the Eye and Ears guiding principles values of integrity, inclusive and accessible care, collaboration and excellence. You will possess relevant tertiary qualifications, accompanied by substantial experience in senior HR leadership roles, ideally within a health-related environment. A strategic and innovative approach, combined with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver HR operational excellence, will be essential for driving organisational change and fostering meaningful relationships with stakeholders and partners.
