Dual reporting to our Finance Manager and Operations Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting, analysis and control with particular emphasis on Manufacturing and Engineering Operations.What youll doProject AccountingSupport the business with new project requests including payback calculations, review of new project requests, assessment of accounting treatment and managing project approvalsMaintain project costing systems and ensure projects align across all systemsPreparation, review and distribution of monthly project reportsConduct project reviews with project owners, including technical reviews for R&D projects, and forecasting of all projects to completionMaintenance of fixed asset register, including audit/sightings of PPE itemsMaintenance of capital works in progress listing including capitalisation of assets when deemed ready for use, working closely with business owners on status and spending.Month-end reconciliation and reportingReconciliation between PP&E register and production team asset registerAnnual stocktake of assets and subsequent recommendations to management.Development cost managementMaintenance of intangible asset registerMonth-end reconciliation and reportingPatent cost and capitalisationSupport of R&D tax incentive application with AusIndustry and the costing of R&D activities for inclusion in the R&D tax schedule of the annual income tax returnFinancial Planning & AnalysisProvide expert analysis, management reporting and advice to senior management on cost minimisation, performance improvement measures and allocation of resourcesLead operations inputs into the company budget and forecast processesPrepare regular financial forecasts, updating projections for revenue, expenses, and cash flow based on actual performanceMonitor and analyse budget and identify and explain forecast variancesImplement and maintain detailed KPI reportingAnalysis of results and forecast to stakeholder-agreed targets and modelsAssess the adequacy, and lead/assist development of improvements in material requirement planning and labour efficiency processesWhat you''ll bring2 - 4 years'' experience in Financial AccountingFormal Accounting qualification - CA/CPA (or working towards)Degree in Accounting or CommerceExperience with Accounting softwareIntermediate to advanced MS Excel skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong time management and the ability to work to deadlinesInnovative approach and able to cope with rapidly changing environmentWhats on offerAt Carbon Revolution we believe in fair, market competitive and performance-based pay.
