We pride ourselves on being big enough to manage, yet small enough to care!AtStar Aviation, were not just filling roles were building a team of people who embody the spirit of our brand and take pride in representing both our company and our customers.Were proud to bebig enough to manage with the capability, experience, and professionalism to keep operations running smoothly at some of Australias busiest airports.But were alsosmall enough to care which means youll be recognised, supported, and genuinely valued every step of the way.If that sounds like the kind of team you want to be part of wed love to hear from you.Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for delivering Baggage Handling services on behalf of Star Aviation to Airline customers.Service DeliveryDeliver services on behalf of Star Aviation customers, ensuring compliance and safety regulations are met to the highest standards at all times.Load and unload passenger luggage and air cargo, bulk and/or containers/pallets, onto carts and/or dollies and the airport belt system.Responsible for courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of customer baggage, airfreight and company material, onto carts and/or dollies and the airport belt system.continuous lifting, loading/unloading, sorting and transfer of baggage, freight and company material.Represent both the Airline and Star to the highest-level ensuring customer satisfaction.Report to the on shift Bagroom Supervisor in a timely manner on any issues or activities likely to influence operations or relations with airline customers.Ensure compliance with all Uniform & PPE requirements.Other duties as requested by your Manager.Management of GSEEnsure the safe and secure operation of all equipment.Report equipment malfunction to the Supervisor on shift.Where qualified, operate Ground Service equipment (GSE) in accordance with correct procedures.Test all relevant equipment for serviceability before commencement of every shift and record results.Desired Skills and ExperiencePhysically fit and able to bend and perform manual liftingA valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), or the ability to successfully obtain one.Competent in the operational requirements of Baggage HandlingUnderstanding of the aviation industrySkillsCompetent in the operational requirements of Baggage HandlingPhysically fit and able to perform lifting and bendingUnderstanding of the aviation industryExcellent organisation and time management skillsWorking in a high-pressure environment and to strict timelinesCustomer focus to deliver exceptional serviceAbility to adapt to changing priorities and situationsAble to work well in a fast-paced team environmentHealth and Safety TrainingCapable of Incident Report writing, in plain and clear EnglishAlignment with our company Values (Safety, Accountability, Customer Service, Innovation, Teamwork)Due to the high volume of applications, only those that are progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
