Our proven project teams readily address complex and multi-disciplinary activities, providing low-risk and cost-effective solutions to the Defence force.The Opportunity:KBR is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and detail-oriented Schedulers to support Defence programs across Brisbane and Canberra.As a Scheduler, you will play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of Defence projects by developing, maintaining, and tracking detailed schedules. Your ability to manage dependencies, coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams, and present meaningful project insights will directly support decision-making and risk management across complex programs.The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, in alignment with Defence project requirements.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to establish realistic timelines and dependencies.Track progress against baseline schedules, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions where required.Provide timely and accurate schedule reports, Gantt charts, and forecasting insights to project leadership.Assist with risk and change management activities, assessing potential impacts on schedule performance.Ensure alignment with Defence schedule management frameworks, including ASDEFCON and Defence Capability Life Cycle.Contribute to project planning reviews, governance forums, and milestone readiness assessments.As the ideal candidate you will bring:Demonstrated experience as a Scheduler or Project Planner, ideally within Defence, engineering, or complex infrastructure environments.Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software.Understanding of project controls, scheduling best practices, and Defence project management methodologies.Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across diverse teams.High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and integrated master schedules is advantageous.Australian Citizenship is essential due to security clearance requirements.NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable.Benefits of KBRA workplace culture certified as a Great Place To Work (Aus, India, UK & US)Flexible working conditionsCompetitive salary (including annual reviews)Paid Parental leavePaid Reservist leaveIncome protectionCorporate rewardsSalary packaging/Novated leasingDiscounted employee stock purchase plansFlu shots, skin checks and private health insurance discountsCareer development: Online learning, mentorship and career pathwaysIf youre ready to shape tomorrow, lets get started.
