We are seeking restoration labourers who are eager to learn the industry and aspire to progress to a technician role.This is casual ad hoc work with opportunities for ongoing employment and career development. The work will be based in the Newcastle area.About The RoleAs a restoration labourer, you will be the first point of contact with customers whose properties have been damaged by flood, fire, mould, or other incidents. A strong customer focus, professionalism, and an empathetic nature are essential. Each day will bring different tasks, so flexibility with schedules is required.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform extraction, cleaning, sanitization, and structural demolition.Attend to properties affected by water, fire, and mould, performing cleanup operations.Prepare scopes of work for necessary repairs.Monitor and document restoration progress.Work closely with technicians.Adhere to legislative and WHS requirements.Perform general manual labour, including driving as needed.To be successful in this role, you will require:Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow.Excellent presentation skills.Physical fitness to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying equipment and materials.Willingness to learn and seek career advancement.Own car and valid licence.Construction White Card (advantageous).The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test.Benefits to YouImmediate start options.Flexible shifts.Variety in daily tasks.Base pay from $31.21 per hour plus allowances.Overtime opportunities.Full training provided.Pathway to career progression as a technician.If you possess the attributes outlined above, please apply online. #J-18808-Ljbffr
