Giuseppe''s Restaurant & Bar (G & R D''Altorio Pty Ltd as The Trustee for G & R D''Altorio Family Trust) is looking for a skilled cook.Key ResponsibilitiesOpening the kitchen, managing daily operations within the kitchen, and closing the kitchen after hours.Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment.Prepping vegetables and trimming meats as required.Preparing meals and food according to customer requirements, including nutritive and dietary needs.Assisting in menu planning, estimating food and labor costs, and ordering supplies.Managing kitchen staff and delegating tasks related to meal preparation, cooking, and timely food delivery.Preparing, cooking, garnishing, and presenting food.Supervising and coordinating other workers and kitchen hands engaged in food prep.Checking the quality of raw and cooked food to ensure standards are met; verifying the quality and quantity of received products.Proper handling and temperature adjustment of electrical equipment such as coffee machines, mixers, microwaves, grinders, ovens, food processors, refrigerators, and freezers.Ensuring proper storage of all food and items.Rotating stock to manage freshness.Controlling stock and minimizing wastage by signing off on orders.Monitoring sanitation practices to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Following procedures related to food handling, hygiene, and safety in the hospitality industry.Maintaining occupational health and safety procedures.You must have:A certificate III level or an equivalent relevant qualification.Recent three years of full-time experience as a cook.The ability to work independently without supervision.The ability to work effectively in a team and provide leadership to a small team.Problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which statement best describes your right to work in Australia?To help expedite investigations, please include any relevant details if you believe this job ad is fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
