Our practice is modern, spacious, full of light, and beautifully designed with patients and staff in mind.We are looking for a Dental Assistant (full time, casual or part-time job share) to join our great team primarily during the week, with some occasional half-day Saturdays. We''re seeking someone who takes pride in their work and will go the extra mile to enhance patient experience. We''re looking for experienced dental assistants who know what they are doing and are happy to work full time over 4 days (or job share). We see patients from 8am to 6pm weekdays, with occasional late openings until 8pm. So, 4 days is considered full time. Reception experience is an advantage but not essential.Do you want to help the patient achieve their dental health goals? Do you want to use the latest technology in dental treatment? If so, then this position is for youcome work as part of the treatment team to help patients take pride in their smiles.Interviews will commence on Monday 12th May, held at lunchtime and in the evening. The initial interview will be an online video meeting for 10 minutes with the Principal Dentist and Practice Manager. Successful candidates will progress to a face-to-face meeting at the dental practice. The final candidate will be selected from those who proceed to trial.Job tasks and responsibilitiesAssisting the dentist with clinical procedures and treatmentsSterilisation of instruments and preparation for proceduresOpening and closing down of clinical areasProviding oral hygiene and post-operative instructions to patientsGeneral patient support and carePractice stock management and equipment maintenance and testingPreparation of patient lab workSkills and experienceMinimum 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant; 2+ years preferred, or Dental Assistant qualifications (Cert III/IV)Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skillsAbility to show initiativeEnjoy working in a teamA sense of humour and a positive outlookProfessional standard of EnglishIT proficiency and willingness to learnWillingness to learn new skillsJob benefits and perksGreat professional and friendly teamModern, bright, and beautifully designed dental practiceClose to public transport, shops, cafes, bars, and the CBDCareer progression and training opportunitiesAvailability:Due to longer work days, full-time typically involves 4 days.
