The OpportunityThe Kids Research Institutes Facilities Management team looks after our buildings, assets, and amenities to maintain a modern, vibrant, and unique working environment. Based at Perth Childrens Hospital, our workspace spans three floors and includes over 600 workstations, laboratories, bioresources, seminar rooms, and event spaces.We are now looking for a Facilities Officer to ensure the smooth day-to-day management and operation of our workspace by providing administrative support and maintenance tasks while delivering excellent customer service.The RoleAs part of the Facilities Management team, you will handle various administrative duties such as raising Purchase Orders, monitoring service desk queries, ordering consumables, and allocating ID badges to new employees and contractors. You will also perform manual tasks including supporting the loading dock, receiving goods and deliveries, and assisting with event setups.Responsibilities include:Requesting quotes for required services, purchasing, and reconciling invoices.Managing the Institute''s asset management program, including service docket uploads/administration, data entry, and scheduling preventative maintenance.Setting up function and meeting rooms.Serving as a point of contact for general service queries.This is a full-time, ongoing position conveniently based at Perth Childrens Hospital.About YouThe ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience in operational roles, and pride themselves on superior customer service.Required skills and experience include:Experience in administration within operational environments such as stock control, warehousing, or logistics.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.Experience working in a customer-facing environment.Physical fitness and capability for manual tasks.We promote inclusion and diversity.
