At the forefront of the digital revolution, the company continues to innovate in visual effects, VR, AR, and immersive cinema.You can see some of our current projects here.Your roleAs the Senior Global Mobility Specialist, you will manage ILM Sydneys immigration and global mobility programs, ensuring compliance with international laws and regulations related to immigration, tax, and relocation. Your responsibilities include coordinating expatriate assignments, handling immigration and tax compliance, and supporting employee relocations to facilitate smooth transitions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to support the company''s global talent strategy and ensure adherence to relevant policies and laws.What will you be doing?Manage end-to-end processes for international assignments, including relocation, visas, tax services, and expatriate packages, in partnership with Disney Legal, Disney tax, and external vendors to ensure compliance.Maintain detailed case files for each foreign worker/traveler and communicate with stakeholders such as TWDC HR/GM, Local HR, Talent Managers.Assess candidate eligibility and work authorization documents, providing pre-assessment reports on immigration and tax pathways, timelines, and risks.Develop strategies for high-volume foreign worker intakes, considering candidate profiles, job roles, wages, and contingency plans.Mitigate risks related to immigration and mobility by navigating inbound US restrictions, border closures, and country-specific requirements, creating individualized Global Mobility Plans.Manage timelines and processes for intra-company transfers, temporary assignments, contractors, and business travelers.Maintain global mobility policies and procedures for the Sydney studios.Advise productions on international rules and regulations to ensure compliance.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Global Mobility, Immigration, HR, Production, Finance, and external vendors like Fragomen and KPMG.Skills and qualificationsDeep understanding of employment-based immigration programs, policies, and Disney Legal procedures.Ability to navigate complex immigration landscapes and stay updated on changes affecting compliance and hiring practices.Strong client-focused approach with proactive, professional communication skills.Proficiency in Google Apps, Microsoft Office, and similar tools.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Innovative troubleshooting abilities.Discretion in handling sensitive information.Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience.Bachelor''s Degree required.Registered Migration Agent certification.Experience in the Production industry (3-5 years) and familiarity with industry terminology is a plus.Join ILMThis position is with Lucasfilm Entertainment Company Ltd.
