A well-resourced Level 5 Intensive Care Unit provides critical care and post-operative support for complex cases.Anaesthetic services are provided across diverse specialties, including general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, ENT, paediatrics, and ophthalmology. Support is also available for endoscopy, diagnostic imaging, and various interventional procedures. The department emphasizes collaborative care, working closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive and safe patient outcomes. Pre-operative assessment clinics and both acute and chronic pain management services further support patient needs.The service plays a key role in obstetric care for the region, offering anaesthetic support for labour and delivery, including epidurals and emergency caesarean sections.
